Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital has signed a MOU with Aga Khan University Hospital for Pakistan Life Savers Program (PLSP) in Karachi.
Mr. Irfan Khan (CEO-MASH) addressed the audience as Supporter of Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies. He focused on importance of youth empowerment and mentioned that PLSP will enable youth empowerment in the country. Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital has joined as partner and MASH is on National Platform for Pakistan Life Savers Program.
PLSP is a multi-stakeholder collaboration with goal of training 10 million people across the country over 10 years in key skills such as CPR, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and bleeding control.
Emergency medicine specialists at the PLSP launch event at the 5th AKU Annual Surgical Conference noted that countries such as Japan, Singapore, Ireland and the United States of America have benefited greatly from similar initiatives to train citizens in CPR and bleed control.
The Pakistan Life Savers Program will help in bringing a positive impact in Pakistan.
