The psychiatric facility was envisioned by the late Mian Mukhtar Ahmed Sheikh, who was determined to bring prosperity to South Punjab through state-of-the-art healthcare and educational facilities. He realized the taboo around mental illness; thus, the foundations for “Spring Clinic” were laid.

Spring Clinic/Institute of Psychiatry is a mid-sized medical facility that serves patients with varying degrees of mental and psychological illnesses through a team of qualified Psychiatrists and Psychologists. The department is acknowledged as the leading psychiatric care provider of clinical, academic, and therapeutic services to adults and elderly patients with behavioural and psychiatric issues or addiction problems. The mode of treatment includes psychiatric assessment, pharmacotherapy, and behavioral management leading up to a recovery plan. The department also supports all models of psychotherapy, including personal, family and group therapy for emotional and psychological distress.
