Helping Baby Breathe
Mukhtar A. Sheikh Memorial Welfare Hospital (MASH) recently organized a specialized workshop titled “Helping Babies Breathe,” designed exclusively for its clinical staff. This important training aimed to equip healthcare professionals with vital skills in neonatal resuscitation, a critical area of newborn care that can significantly reduce infant mortality and improve outcomes in the first moments of life.
During the workshop, participants received hands-on training and expert guidance from experienced instructors, allowing them to practice essential techniques such as clearing airways, providing effective ventilation, and managing newborn breathing difficulties. The interactive sessions ensured that staff members could confidently respond to emergencies involving newborns, ultimately enhancing the quality of care provided in delivery rooms and neonatal units.
The workshop also emphasized teamwork, quick decision-making, and the importance of immediate intervention to stabilize newborns facing breathing challenges. At the conclusion of the training, all participants were awarded certificates, recognizing their commitment to advancing their skills and contributing to excellence in neonatal healthcare.
