Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq

Dr. Ashfaq graduated from Nishtar Medical College Multan in 2005. Since his graduation, he has gained extensive experience from Pakistan, Ireland and UK in the fields of General Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, GI Endoscopy and Hepatology. He has dual certification in General Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has specialist registration with Irish Medical Council (IMC) and General Medical Council UK (GMC) in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine.

He completed his post CCT fellowship in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation from prestigious King's College Hospital in London and National Liver Transplant Centre at St Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin.

Dr. Ashfaq worked as a consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at St. James's Hospital in Dublin since February 2019. He played an active role in under and postgraduate medical education in Trinity College Dublin which is affiliated with St. James’s Hospital Dublin. Dr. Ashfaq has been a part of several international clinical trials related to IBD and Coeliac disease. He has several poster presentations and abstracts in ISG, BSG and USG meetings.
