Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital conducted two successful Cochlear Implant Surgeries, first time in the region.
A girl of 4 years got this gift on new year, as all the expenses were supported by the hospital. Another girl of 3 years was also successfully operated on the same day.
Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital conducted a Cochlear Implant Activation Ceremony on 30th January, 2020, where Cochlear Implants of the both kids were activated by Mian Faisal Ahmed Mukhtar (Chairman). Azan was recited in their ears and both kids were able to hear for the first time in their lives. The parents of the kids were overjoyed by the success of the surgeries and expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital for enabling their kids to lead a quality life.
During the ceremony, Dr. Maqbool Ahmad (ENT Surgeon) also shared his experience of both surgeries with the audience. Dr. Aneela Darbar (Medical Director) is confident that with proper rehabilitation and support both children will be able to hear and speak properly and Mr. Irfan Khan (CEO) expressed how he is hopeful that Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital will be able to bring a change in the lives of many such kids in the upcoming days, who are unable to undergo the required treatment.
